What exactly is indoor volleyball?
- Indoor volleyball is typically played on an undercover hard court. Unlike beach volleyball which is played in sand and often outside.
- 6 players on a team, 3 on the front row and 3 on the back row.
- Players may not hit the ball twice in succession (A block is not considered a hit).
- The ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve.
- To score a point the ball must hit the ground within the outlined section in your opponents half.
- You can also score a point by your opponent failing to hit the outlined section within your half or your opponent hitting the ball into the net.
- Games are played out in the best of 3 or 5 sets and the team with the most sets at the end of the game wins.
